Nuclear Medicine radiology or nuclear radiology is a specialty of radiology that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disease using radiopharmaceuticals or radiotracers. They use these types of medications to produce images of specific parts of the body in order to diagnose diseases. Nuclear radiology or nuclear medicine provides images that often cannot be obtained through other types of radiology imaging and many times can identify disease in its earliest stages.
